PONTIANAK CITY

Pontianak City  (坤甸;  Pinyin: Kūndiàn) is  the capital of  the province of  West Kalimantan,  Indonesia. The city is known as the City of Equatorial  since passed  the equator. In the north of the city, exactly  Siantan, there  Equator Monument  which was built in a place which passed the equator. In addition, the city of Pontianak also passed  Kapuas River, the longest river in  Indonesia  and Landak River. Kapuas River and Porcupine River which divides the city into a symbol in the logo of the city of Pontianak. This city has an area of 107.82 square kilometers.
