SINGKARAK LAKE

3. Lake Batur, West Sumatra  

It is the biggest lake in West Sumatra with a length of 21 km which is situated on the edge of the highway Padang Panjang - Solok. Around the lake there are several places to rest and relax, and there are also various facilities canoe, boat and hotel. There is also a facility to surround the lake with beautiful scenery. There is still a truly fascinating lakes in West Sumatra as Lake Maninjau, Ateh Lake and Lower Lakes as well as the Japanese holes are relics of the building in the form of an underground cave which used the Japanese people for a defense of Japanese soldiers.
