ABANG TEMPLE







The temple was built around the 9th century and 10th at the time of  the Ancient Mataram Kingdom . Nonetheless, the temple was supposed to have a younger age than other Hindu temples.
Pyramid-shaped temple named Candi Abang because it is made ​​of brick red (red in  the Java language ). The temple forms a rectangular form with a size of 36 x 34 meters, now overgrown with grass so that from a distance looks like a mound or small hill.
When first discovered, in this temple there is a statue and pedestal yoni symbol of the god Shiva segidelapan shaped (not rectangular, as usual) with sides measuring 15 cm.
